Optimizing Production with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation

Modern manufacturing requires flexibility, precision, and a constant search for improvement points. That is why, as part of the digital twin project, we used Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, a powerful platform for simulating production processes.

With its help, we developed a digital model of the production line, which allowed us to test and optimize processes before launching in reality.

What we did:

  • Modeled current production areas, including the flow of materials, workers, equipment, and warehouses.
  • Implemented the logic of process operations, including execution time, resource loading, and prioritization rules.
  • Conducted a throughput analysis and identified bottlenecks in the production chain.
  • Run a series of “what-if” scenarios to predict the behavior of the system when parameters change (for example, when demand increases or logistics fails).
  • Assessed the effect of changes in real time: reduced cycle time, reduced downtime, uniform equipment loading.

Using Tecnomatix allowed us to:

  • Increase the accuracy of production planning and scheduling;
  • Significantly reduce costs associated with excess inventory and inefficient loading;
  • Make management decisions based on simulation data rather than assumptions;
  • Prepare the basis for integration into the digital twin system.

Tecnomatix Plant Simulation has become more than just a modeling tool for us, but a key component of our production optimization and digitalization strategy.
